Mark Nelson

CEO and Co-founder

Mark Nelson is co-founder and CEO of Tyfoom – the #1 engagement platform for employee communication and training. Mark has broad business and start-up experience working in technology and other industries. He is a passionate entrepreneur that strives to live deliberately more consistently.

Mark also serves as volunteer CEO of the I Am the Light of the World Foundation, a non-profit organization. He is also co-founder of Aspen Cove at Scofield and Nelson Inc. Mark previously served as the Volunteer President of Utah Storm Soccer Club, has been President of two real estate development companies, and co-founded three technology companies.  

Mark graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUU with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a Marketing Emphasis. Mark loves his family, coaching soccer and playing sports, especially golf. He lives in Mapleton, Utah and is active in his community.

Drew Peterson 

Chief Revenue Officer

Drew Peterson serves as Tyfoom’s Chief Revenue Officer and as a member of the executive team. He has an extensive business and start-up background, spanning founding, acquiring, selling, and organic growth. Drew’s true passion is coaching and mentoring teams through leading by example. He thrives seeing team members set and achieve goals and helping them become fully committed and self-directed to meet those goals.

Drew was the co-founder of Veracity Networks and held positions of CEO, President and CRO until the company’s sale in 2021. In the 18 years under his leadership, the company grew from less than 5 employees reselling local dial-tone internet to over 120 employees offering cloud-based phone systems and fiber internet services to SMB and Enterprises across the U.S. and 18 other counties.

Drew played Minor League Baseball for the California Angles and Basketball for Carroll College where he graduated with a BA in Business. Drew coached his four daughters in soccer and basketball. He embraced competition and hard work mindset in both his personal and professional life. Drew’s motto: “Hard work always pays off” and “The cream always rises to the top.” Outside work, Drew enjoys the outdoors with his wife, six kids, and six grandchildren, or with friends on the golf course.

Chris Walker 

Vice President of Marketing

Chris Walker is vice president of marketing and member of the executive team at Tyfoom where he leads global marketing and strategic communications, including brand, lead generation, digital and events. Chris has directed the marketing and communications efforts for dozens of public and privately-held organizations. Chris is a master storyteller, brand builder and digital marketing strategist.

Chris comes to Tyfoom from Options MKTG, a marketing and communication consultancy, where he served as president and managing partner. Prior to Options, Chris worked at SecureAuth where he led efforts to launch the company’s new brand. Previously, Chris was head of the digital marketing and social media divisions of Connect Marketing where he also served as a partner in the agency and head of the Phoenix office. Chris also worked at Brodeur Partners and Novell, and taught Internet marketing at Utah Valley University. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and currently resides in Queen Creek, Arizona.

Jason Cuskelly 

Vice President of Business Development

Jason is VP of business development at Tyfoom and a member of the executive team. Jason works with industry professionals to leverage the latest research and new technology helping organizations increase productivity, safety, and employee engagement through training and communication. Jason oversaw the creation of the company’s safety, construction and workplace training content, with topics ranging from OSHA, MSHA, Driving and DOT, HR Topics, Health and Wellness and more.

Before Tyfoom, Jason was senior business development manager at Kiewit, one of North America’s largest engineering and construction companies. Previously, Jason served as field engineer and safety director at Big-D Construction where he played a pivotal role in implementing successful safety and execution plans for complex projects. He also managed training in team partnerships with organizations like Rio Tinto and Newmont in the industrial and mining sectors.

Jason served in the United States Marine Corps as a Reconnaissance Marine, and understands teamwork, planning, communication and coordination for flawless execution at a high level. He studied business management and construction management at Salt Lake Community College, Weber State University and the University of Utah.

Frantz Belot, Ph.D. 

Strategic Advisor and Co-founder

Dr. Frantz Belot served as president at Tyfoom until his transition to be a strategic advisor to Tyfoom. As one of the company’s co-founders, Dr. Belot helped organizations deliver relevant communication and training in a way that increases retention and transfer of knowledge at work. He is also a co-founder of Tech Trep Academy, a tuition-free, public school program tailored to the unique needs of each student.

Dr. Belot has served in various executive positions at Studies Weekly, Imagine Learning, and RES Academy, among others. He also taught at Brigham Young University, the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University, and Westminster College.  

Dr. Belot is a native of Haiti and was raised in Montreal, Quebec. He obtained his Ph.D. from BYU in educational leadership with an emphasis in organizational behavior. His entrepreneurial spirit permeates all aspects of his life. He’s passionate about helping people access education and training so they can positively impact their lives, businesses and communities for good.
