When most organizations grow too fast, they fragment from the pressure. Time becomes so scarce that communication gets messy, training loses consistency and new hires pick up bad habits from whoever happens to be sitting next to them. Company culture is watered down and core values become posters on a wall instead of actions people actually live out.
This is what happens to most businesses anyway. But not all.
Lease End chose a different path, and the results were extraordinary. The company not only doubled its workforce in 18 months; it doubled its revenue too. Lease End’s average sales rep became 50% more valuable year over year, and the highest-performing reps became nearly twice as effective.
That kind of growth is no accident.
Avoiding Growing Pains
Lease End operates in a fast-moving industry. The company helps customers buy out their vehicle leases, handling paperwork digitally and streamlining financing. Instead of spending hours in a dealership, lessees can become car owners in minutes, all from the comfort of their own couch.
Customers loved it, and demand exploded.
But scaling a salesforce fast creates a dangerous problem: Inconsistency.
“When you grow this fast, culture doesn’t scale by accident,” said Trevor Gosar, Vice President of Sales. “We needed every sales rep to show up with the same mindset, the same understanding of our values and the same commitment to the customer every single day.”
Lease End understood something many companies miss: Customer satisfaction and brand trust are directly tied to how consistently employees perform. If reps aren’t adhering to standards, customers sense it and lose confidence in the company, eventually taking their business elsewhere.
For the auto financing industry, any inconsistency in regulatory compliance is not only frustrating to banks and customers, but can also come with serious repercussions. All Lease End sales reps needed to align with financial institutions completely or risk exposing the company to liability.
Culture Can’t Live on a Wall
One of the smartest things Lease End realized early was that values only matter if employees actually remember them and apply them daily. With a fast-growing sales team spread across multiple states, Lease End knew that core values can’t live on a wall: They have to live in every rep.
Leaders needed a way to ensure that all employees – regardless of role or location – connected to and aligned with its culture from Day One. That mindset shaped its approach to sales training and workforce development.
Instead of relying on occasional trainings or long onboarding sessions that employees would forget two days later, Lease End built a system around short, consistent, repeatable learning.
“As a company, we believe in CPR. Everything we do must be Consistent, Predictable and Repeatable,” said Gosar. “Before Tyfoom, that just wasn’t possible.”
Lease End adopted Tyfoom early and began delivering daily video-based microlearning directly to employees’ phones. That consistency changed everything.
Daily Training and Culture
Many organizations treat training like an event. Lease End saw it as a way to build positive habits. Every morning, reps receive a quick video-based training designed to reinforce skills, values, compliance standards, customer service and other best practices.
“When I came to Lease End, I said, ‘We’re using Tyfoom,’” said Gosar. “Being able to know for a fact that every one of my employees is getting that notification gives me peace of mind. And, it helps my team be excited about learning and developing new skills every day. It keeps everything top of mind.”
Instead of overwhelming employees with giant information dumps like traditional sales training, Lease End reinforced learning daily through small, manageable lessons employees could immediately apply.
And employees bought into it quickly because that emotional investment matters more than most companies realize.
“My team embraced it from Day One,” said Gosar. “I think what they loved about it is everyone wants to feel like somebody’s invested in them, that somebody believes in them, that somebody wants them to be successful.”
Workforce Development Became a Productivity Engine
Normally, rapid hiring slows companies down. New reps require intensive onboarding, trainers get overwhelmed and managers spend all their time repeating the same information. Lease End avoided this trap with scalable sales training.
With Tyfoom, the company cut onboarding time in half, reducing training from 80 hours of intensive in-person instruction to 40 hours supplemented with daily microlearning videos.
Lease End was able to grow over 400% in 18 months with essentially one full-time trainer because training became a flexible, scalable way to support employees at every stage of the employment life cycle.
“One very direct return on investment with Tyfoom has been the number of trainers that we need. Scaling a salesforce from 35 to 180 reps in a year and a half typically takes a lot of trainers. Usually, trainers are there for that consistency, for those repeatable trainings, but we didn’t need it because Tyfoom was there for us.” said Gosar.
Better Training Created Better Salespeople
Lease End not only grew bigger, but the company’s reps also became significantly better.
“Our highest performing rep last year was only as good as our 10th highest rep this year,” said Gosar. “So we have 10 individuals in the company this year that are performing better than our highest performer did last year.”
That’s a staggering jump in performance. According to Gosar, the improvement ties directly back to daily learning consistency. “When sales reps struggle, 9 times out of 10 they are not completing their Tyfoom videos on a daily basis.”
Sales training works best when it’s continuous – not occasional. Gosar explained, “With microlearning, we plant seeds every single day and keep training top of mind.” Those daily “seeds” compounded over time into stronger communication skills, better customer interactions, faster onboarding, and higher productivity for a smarter, happier, and more engaged workforce.
“Every rep receives the same microlearning videos so we know they’re receiving consistent training,” said Gosar. “No matter the location, every team member knows what we stand for.”
That consistency helped Lease End maintain a reliable customer experience across every location. It also reinforced regulatory compliance and operational accuracy because employees used the same language, standards and workflows company-wide.
Workforce Development Helped Employees Stay
Commission-only sales environments are notoriously difficult when it comes to retention. Lease End approached retention differently. The company focused heavily on culture, morale and personal growth through ongoing sales training.
“People want to be valued, people want to be wanted, people want to be invested in,” said Gosar.
Great workforce development improves employee performance, yes. But the best sales training changes employee identity. It shifts how team members see themselves, building confidence, ownership and pride in the work they do.
Employees stop feeling like they’re just showing up for a paycheck and start seeing themselves as skilled professionals who contribute to something bigger. That change in mindset creates people who are more engaged, more accountable, and more invested in the success of the company and the customers they serve.
Scaling Without Losing What Matters
Explosive growth doesn’t have to destroy culture. It doesn’t have to create disjointed customer experiences. And it definitely doesn’t have to overwhelm leadership teams. With intentional, consistent workforce development, companies can scale faster while actually becoming more aligned, more productive, and more trusted by employees and customers alike.
Lease End proved that growth and culture are not competing priorities. In fact, the company’s culture became stronger because leadership invested in its people every single day through consistent, video-based microlearning.
Every rep received the same coaching, the same reminders, the same reinforcement of company values and the same opportunity to improve. That consistency created alignment across locations, protected customer satisfaction, strengthened compliance and helped employees feel genuinely connected to the mission of the company.
The result wasn’t just a bigger salesforce. It was a better one. Lease End developed employees who understood the company’s values, believed in the culture, and showed up every day committed to delivering a consistent customer experience.
“To have 180 individuals say, ‘Hey, I want to show up to work every single day, and I don’t have a salary, I don’t have a guarantee, but I’m willing to be here,’ is incredible. And it’s because of our culture,” said Gosar.
He continued, “I’ve had sales reps come to me and tell me the reason they choose to stay is because of our culture. They love it. They feel like they’re a better human being and feel more fulfilled because of what they’re doing here at Lease End. And so much of that is because we use Tyfoom each day.”
